WELCOME TO HAPPY, WARM & FUZZY FEEL GOOD PAPER!
Drawing, coloring, painting, and making—it’s always been a part of me. Paper itself fascinates me. It's a simple medium that hasn't changed that much over the years, but the infinite number of things you can make/do with it is just so fun. As a designer of paper goods, it’s such a thrill to create pieces that give people all the feels—feeling loved, feeling remembered, feeling proud and so on. From holiday cards and décor to bookplates, thank you cards, and a host more, I feel so lucky to do what I love.
AN ELF DID IT
I’m often asked how I came up with the name Sunshine and Ravioli and it’s a story that goes back to the early 2000s. The movie Elf came out while I was trying to come up with the business name and my kids loved it (we still laugh through it every year now that they are both in college). We wore out the soundtrack from the movie and I found inspiration from one of our favorite singalong songs, “Pennies from Heaven” by Louis Prima. In one part of the song the lyrics are “Sunshine and Ravioli” and it stuck with me. Better yet, it makes my heart smile every time I think about those little nuggets sitting in their seats in the minivan, singing that song at the top of their lungs as we drove down the highway.
The name captures everything I want to share with my customers-
happy, warm fuzzy memories.
